Do you ship nationwide?
We ship our frozen beef to the lower 48 states. Regional Spee-Dee delivery ($25–$30) covers the Dakotas and Upper Midwest, and FedEx 2 Day ($42) covers the rest of the country. Tallow products and merch ship to all 50 states for a $7 flat rate.
When does my order ship?
We ship early in the week so your beef never sits in a warehouse over a weekend. Local pickup orders are ready on each location's schedule for example, order by Monday 6pm for Tuesday pickup at Eddie's in Aberdeen.
How does my order arrive?
Every cut is vacuum-sealed, frozen, and packed in insulated packaging. If it arrives cold to the touch, it's safe to refreeze right away. If anything arrives warm or damaged, contact us within 24 hours and we'll make it right.
Where can I pick up my order locally?
Free pickup at the farm near Pierpont, Eddie's Northside Sinclair in Aberdeen, cups. in Britton, and MEAT Up locations in Groton and Webster. We'll let you know when your order is ready!
How are your animals raised?
Our Sim/Angus herd grazes South Dakota pasture through summer and fall, then finishes on a high-quality corn silage and grain diet for rich marbling. We are BQA certified, and work with our local veterinarian to ensure healthy animals.
Can I buy beef in bulk?
Yes! We have pre-packaged quarters and take custom orders to fill your freezer with premium beef at the best price per pound. Bulk beef is available for local pickup only. Questions about custom cuts? Reach out we're happy to help.
When is the corn maze open?
The Back Forty Adventure Farm corn maze runs every fall. Find our 2026 schedule under the corn maze tab. Join our email list or follow us on Instagram to be the first to know about opening day, special events, and insider perks.
What is the Sunflower Festival?
Our newest on-farm event! Stroll the sunflower fields, snap one-of-a-kind photos, and enjoy a day at the farm with the whole family. Dates and details are announced on our email list and social media, stay tuned.
