Shipping Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026

Frozen Beef Shipping. All beef ships frozen in insulated packaging. To protect quality, we ship early in the week so packages aren't in transit over a weekend.

Beef shipping options by region:

• SpeeDee Next Day — $25: South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota
• Spee-Dee 2 Day — $30: Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas (and Minnesota)
• FedEx 2 Day — $42: all other states except Alaska and Hawaii

We currently do not ship beef to Alaska, Hawaii, or US territories, and we do not ship internationally.

Tallow Products & Merchandise — $7 flat. Candles, wax melts, balms, and apparel ship to all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Candles and body balms ship via USPS; orders are processed and shipped on Mondays or Tuesdays unless otherwise arranged. Note that meat requires its own shipping — if your order contains both, both charges apply.

Free Local Pickup. Available at: the Farm (Pierpont, SD), Eddies Northside Sinclair (Aberdeen, SD), MEAT Up in Groton, cups. (Britton, SD), and MEAT Up in Webster. We'll notify you when your order is ready. Please bring a cooler for meat pickups

Bulk Beef. Pre-packaged quarters are available by local pickup only and cannot be shipped.

Delivery Issues. Inspect your package immediately upon arrival. Beef arriving cold to the touch (even if partially thawed on the surface) is safe to refreeze. If your order arrives warm, damaged, or is delayed in transit, contact us within 48 hours at backfortybeef@gmail.com with photos — see our Return & Refund Policy.

Weather Holds. During extreme heat or weather events, we may hold shipments briefly to protect your order and will notify you of any delay.
