Welcome to Back Forty Beef. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who We Are. Back Forty Beef is a family farm in Pierpont, South Dakota, selling farm-raised beef, tallow products, merchandise, and corn maze experiences. Contact: backfortybeef@gmail.com.

Products & Weights. Our beef is a natural product cut to order. Listed weights for individual cuts are approximate; actual packaged weight may vary. Product images are for illustration and may not reflect the exact item you receive.

Pricing & Payment. All prices are in US dollars. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the order amount; payment is captured when we finalize your order. Because final pricing on some cuts depends on actual weight, your captured total may be adjusted (never above the authorized amount without your approval). We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel any order at our discretion, with a full release of the authorization.

Shipping & Pickup. Delivery options, regions, and costs are described in our Shipping Policy. Risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier, or upon handoff at a pickup location. It is your responsibility to retrieve and refrigerate/freeze perishable items promptly upon delivery or pickup.

Local Pickup Orders. Orders selecting a pickup option must be collected at the chosen location.

Corn Maze & Events. Event tickets and admissions are subject to weather and operating conditions. Participation is at your own risk; see posted rules at the farm.

Accounts & Site Use. You agree to provide accurate information, use the site only for lawful purposes, and not interfere with its operation. Content on this site (text, photos, logos, recipes) belongs to Back Forty Beef or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability. The site and products are provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. Back Forty Beef is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or products; our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product at issue. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Dakota.

Changes. We may update these Terms of Service at any time by posting a revised version with a new effective date.

SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern the Back Forty Beef text message marketing program (the "Program"). By opting in to the Program, you agree to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Program Description. When you opt in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and promotional text messages from Back Forty Beef at the mobile number you provided. Messages may include promotions, new product announcements, order and pickup reminders, event updates (like corn maze season), and cart reminders. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.

2. Consent Is Not Required to Purchase. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Back Forty Beef.

3. Message Frequency. Message frequency varies. We aim to keep messages relevant and infrequent, but the number of messages you receive may change from time to time.

4. Message & Data Rates. Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received, according to your mobile carrier's plan. Contact your carrier for details.

5. How to Opt Out. You can cancel at any time by texting STOP in reply to any message from us. After you send STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. If you would like to rejoin, sign up again as you did the first time.

6. Help & Support. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly at backfortybeef@gmail.com.

7. Carriers. Supported carriers may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless carrier and is outside of our control.

8. Your Mobile Number. You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile number you provide (or have the account holder's permission), and that you are at least 18 years old. You agree to notify us and re-opt-in if you change or deactivate your mobile number, so messages are not sent to a number reassigned to someone else.

9. Privacy. We will not share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information is shared only with service providers who send messages on our behalf. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer & Changes. The Program is offered on an "as-is" basis and may not be available in all areas at all times. We may suspend or terminate the Program, or update these SMS Terms, at any time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date; continued participation constitutes acceptance.
