We are so excited to offer Stensland Family Farms’ Ice cream, for our local area. We will have our beef truck stocked with Stensland Products at farmers’ markets and other local events. Stensland Dairy Ice cream Products are available during spring and summer months. We are unable to ship ice cream products.

Farm History

Established in 1915 Stensland Family Farms, is a family-owned and operated multi-generational farm located between Sioux Falls, SD and Larchwood, IA. The dairy herd consists of 200 cows.  In addition, they raise their own crops.

In 2015, the farm broke ground for the creamery where they now process milk, cheese, ice cream, and even pizza. They now have an on-the-farm store as well as three store locations in Sioux Falls. The family opens their farm up to tours and average around 2,000 visitors a year!

About the Cows

Cow’s on the Stensland Farm are selected for their A2 beta-casein protein genetics (versus A1). A2 proteins are usually easier for people to digest than A1. Most milk in the U.S. has a combination of both proteins. Published research has found that some people with milk intolerance typically do not have an issue with just A2 milk.
